 An Unexpected Meeting ((Daddy Dearest))
« Thread Started on Aug 20, 2007, 10:40am »

Christina was dressed in a pair of light faded jeans and a white tank top under a black collard t-shirt. Her long blond hair had been left down that morning as she had walked out of the common room as she couldn't stand to be in the common room any longer than necessarily. However, her beautiful long blond locks were now becoming a tad bothersome, and thankfully, Christina had an extra elastic around her wrist. Taking it off, she quickly pulled her hair up into messily with pieces falling out to frame her small face. She wasn't wearing much makeup that day, merely some black eyeliner around her bright blue orbs.

Sliding her small hands into the back pockets of her jeans, Christina made her way slowly down the corridors. It was early on a Saturday morning, and Christina doubted anyone would be up, but all the same as Head Girl she had to patrol the hallways even when she would much rather have been sleeping. A small sigh passed through Christina's slightly parted pink lips as she rounded the next corner. No one was even out of bed yet, why did she have to be? Seeing a group of little hufflepuff first years, Christina gave them a scowl as she passed them not really caring what they were up to.

Looking back down the corridor, Christina narrowed her eyes as a figure of a man approached her. He was still to far away for her to tell who he was, but from the looks of things he wasn't a professor. Continuing to walk down the corridor, Christina was about twenty feet away from the approaching figure when she realized who it was. In that instant, Christina wanted to run away. Be as far away from this spot as possible. But he had already seen her, and that meant she had no where to go. Damnit! She thought closing her eyes. Why did he have to be there. Why did he have to torture her ever where she went? "Father." She said quietly looking down as he reached where she stood.

It was a dark afternoon. The heavy clouds of rain were angrily putting themselves in the high stakes of the sky. The bounded in, taking over every inch, as they dropped their showers of anger on the ones below. They were not the only ones angered, oh no, there was one other person, being carried by winged horse and carriage that also matched the anger of them. The hooves of the horses clicked their way to the entrance of the castle. The wheels creeked to a bitter stop as the carriage flung itself backwards, resting on the back wheels, and coming to the complete stop. The door opened, revealing a dark, phantom type interior, and moments later a man had stepped out of the darkness.

He was very tall, his face carved to match someone who's job is to snear at another. His muscular tone seemed vacant, showing everything through his deep black robes. The rain had poured down harder, soaking him to the bone, but when he reached the stone steps and was sheltered, there he found the familiar dryness. His chauffer had released a wand, turning it on him, and drying him to the break of making it look like it was never raining outside at all. He removed the hat from his head, giving it to the man, and letting his blond hair fall to his shoulders. Quiet.

He turned down the hallway, noticing someone at the end of the hall. Someone very familiar to him, but someone whom he did not want to exist. His eyes shined a beetle black color, a looked of utter distaste at his lips, and looking down on her like a piece of food. "Don't call me that in public." He said with a snide anger falling from his lips like venom. She was not his daughter. "You little rat, what have you done?" He asked, still sneering. "I hear words from the words of other students that you have turned into a tramp... oh, the hell they give me at work." She said, still glaring at her. "You will pay for my hell." He gripped her by the wrist, so tightly he thought it could snap at any moment, and pulled her on, into an empty classroom. He sealed the door shut and soundproof, letting her go by dropping her to the floor. She would not embarass him again.

Christina glared up at the looming figure as he spoke. "No that's right. You're not my father. You're simply an authority head who has nothing better to do with his time then torment the child he wishes was never born." Christina's voice was cold a dry as she spoke to the man she had learned to fear since the day she had been born. Christina flinched at the tone he used. She knew he knew about what she had done, but she wished with everything she was worth that he didn't.

Taking her hands out of her pockets, Christina folded her arms over her chest. She was used to him yelling at her. Hell she was used to her father abusing her, but she wasn't going to let anyone at school know about the things that happened at home. It would ruin everything for her. She would no longer be feared as she walked down the corridors. And chances were people would make fun of her. Which she just couldn't see herself being able to live with. "You're only now hearing of the things I do around here?" Christina asked with a laugh. "I'm surprised. And what do you care what I do anyway?" She demanded. "It's not like you have taken any responsibility for the thing I have done in the pas," she hissed blue eyes flashing dangerously.

As her father took her by the wrist, Christina bit her bottom lip wincing in pain. "Your hell has nothing to do with me,"[/]b she hissed through gritted teeth. [b]"Just because you have a horrible job and hate your life doesn't mean it's my fault - ow." Christina blinked back the shooting pain in her right wrist as his grip seemed to tighten. As he pulled her into an empty classroom, Christina felt herself being thrown to the floor. The stone rubbed against the bare skin of her arms scrapping them up. She inspected them quickly trying t brush the burning pain away as she rose to her feet. "And what do you plan to do to me?" She questioned looking up at him.

He looked down at her, her beetle black eyes glistening as the anger in him rose. How dare this child speak to him like so? His hands were burried in the depths of his cloak, feeling the knob at the end of his wand, and knowing an ulternative if he had to use it. "You brought this upon yourself, Christina." He said in deep cold voice. "I have given you everything and yet you shant our family name by doing improper things." He said, a dryness pouring into his mouth. "You deserve nothing but punishment." He said. He looked down at her, his face half hiden by the shadows, and stared at her. What he would have given to just put her on the streets.

He watched her move. "Do not talk to me like that." He said, his eyes rolling over her like one of his servants. He had no idea what to do with her, but apparently what he had done did not go along very well for him, because her mouth still talked. "I hear everything." He spat. "I don't care, but it is things like this that label you and it gets back at me, and at your mother. We have been given hell over you, and it's time you learn your rightful place." He stood there, glaring down at her, feeling so much bigger than he felt like he could just step on her. Then- it would all be over with.

He waited till she got in the room before speaking to her again. The room was sealed, a barrier for sound was put up, and all that was heard was one another. One the outside they would hear silence, but inside- they would hear the hand of pain strike. He glared at her. "My hell has everything to do with you, people prancing around, saying I am the father of a whore." He glared. "After all we have taught you." He did not answer her last question, she knew what would come. "You flouder away, saying the name of the Dark Lord, when you are to never look down upon him." He drew his hand up, casting it away, across her face.

The rain was pouring outside, but Vanessa Ashby had a large umbrella over her head, it was black, matching what she was wearing today. Her light brown hair was pulled into a high ponytail and she had on a black sort of coat, one that went down to her knees and tied in the middle by a large black belt. She reached the castle and opened the great large door with a leather covered hand, Dumbledore would let her in to see her neice and nephew, though the main reason she was here was to find out why her brother was.

She had heard that he was taking a trip there by her sister-in-law, Aurora, and decided to go as well. She closed the umbrella and left it by the door, walking briskly down the halls, her black high heeled shoes clicking as she went. Vanessa stopped. She could sense that her brother had been in this spot, she didn't know how, but she could just sense it. The trail led her to a door of a room and she slowly opened it, peeking in.

Vanessa quickly entered the room and closed the door behind her with a small click. "Hello, Aiden," she said quietly, ignoring her niece. "What brings you here?" She asked in a polite tone, she did have upmost respect for her brother.

"What I do or have done should never have reflected on you anyways," Christina hissed her tone matching that of her fathers. If she had gotten anything form her father it was his ability to destroy someone with words rather than force. "You don't even acknowledge me as your child in public so how could anything I do affect you?" Her father's words cut through her like a hot blade. She should have been used to his insults and ways of talking to her by now, but she wasn't. "If mother has a problem with me, she can talk to me." Christina didn't want to think about what was coming to her next.

"My rightful place?" She echoed. "My rightful place as far as you're concerned would be on the street living in a box." Christina's blue eyes did not once move away from those of her fathers. She knew it was true. He'd been telling her that for as long as she could remember. And as far as she was concerned, if it hadn't been for her mother, Christina would have graciously left years ago. "After all you have taught me?" Christina asked. "You taught me nothing Dearest father," she hissed glaring up at him. "You've had nothing to do with me my entire 17 years of life."

Christina watched as her father raised his hand. She didn't try to back away as she knew what was coming. What the first thing her father almost always did when he say her. As his hand made contact with her face Christina's eyes watered slightly the sting from he slap making the side of her face go numb. Placing her hand on the spot, she could feel the heat coming off of it and figured that there probably would be a bruise there tomorrow. As the door opened, Christina watched wondering if it was someone who would be of assistance to her or not. As the figure entered the room, Christina gave a small sigh as she rolled her eyes. It was her aunt Vanessa, her father's little sister and cling on who would do anything he told her to. As she ignored Christina, the small Slytherin girl couldn't help but roll her eyes again Typical, she thought not at all amused by her current situation.

He glared at his daughter, the disrespectful blob of stupidity that lingered in his presence. Every work that came out of her mouth made him want to strike her. Again and again he wanted to, but he held back himself from doing so. "Just because I don't view you as a rightful daughter doesn't mean that you aren't. Yes, you are an embarassment to the family, but the wizarding would know that, unfortunately, I am your father." He felt himself wince. He did not want it to be true, he wanted to rid the existance of her so that the only on that lived with the rightful child: Dominic. "Your mother is busy, and you will not speak of her that way, you useless rat."

He studied the girl for a moment. Looking at her made him queezy. How could he, at the top of his game, be drawn back by this whore of a daughter? She was a rock in the world, and she was nothing to him. "If it were up to me you would be living in a box right now, but I have orders to keep you under my roof." He said. "Thankfully you do not know the plans the Dark Lord and I have made, but if you continue to shed these lies and dawn the name of our Lord, than it is you that will die in the end." He said. Not that he complained, but that's how it worked. "He has plans for you, and you will learn what is right from wrong." He said, watching her carrow to the floor from his hit.

He turned quickly to hear the door suddenly creak open. He gave a light smile. "Vanessa, my dear." He said, walking over to her, and placing a kiss on her cheek. "So good to see you. How are you doing?" He asked. When she asked him what he was doing here, he looked down to glare at Christina. He looked back to Vanessa, tilting down and whispering into her ear that Christina had insulted the family by streaking down the halls at school and had given their family a bad name. He also mentioned that he had been told that she insulted the Dark Lord. Whether it was true or not, she would be punished for it. "So we are having a little chat." He said, pushing Christina back onto the floor.

She smiled politely as her brother welcomed her with a kiss on each cheek. She took his hand and kissed it, her lips brushing over his fingers. "It's wonderful to see you as well, Aiden, I'm doing reasonably well. And you?" She turned to her niece who was on the floor, her cheeks looking flushed. Obviously she had dishonored their family again and Aiden confirmed those ascertations when he told her what she had done. "Streaking?" She asked sternly, glaring at Christina. "Chirstina, you are seventeen years old. I would have expected more from you. Did you even think about how you would be dishonoring the Ashby name by behaving so foolishly?"
